On 25th - 26th January 2018 - FIWARE “Value Proposition & Marketing Strategy Bootcamp in Brussels, Belgium.”

On 25th - 26th January 2018 we were in Brussels at the FIWARE “Value Proposition & Marketing Strategy Bootcamp”, during which we took part in a series of sessions regarding:

  • Communication: our coaches analysed all grantees’ websites and social networks and discussed with us the communication strategies enforced on these channels; in particular, they gave us great advice on how to increase our visibility, identify content interesting for our potential users, find the perfect picture for every post, and many more little communication secrets!
  • Value proposition: thanks to our coaches’ work on the grantees’ value proposition, we got new ideas on how to create a more effective one (you can already find it on our website!); furthermore they suggested us how to differentiate CASMOB from tourist agencies and info points, focusing on why potential customers should choose us;
  • Networking: we had to opportunity to interact with the others FrontierCities2 grantees in order to discover collaboration opportunities for both commercial and technical development;
  • Funding opportunities: we were shown new European calls for innovative projects that may lead to additional funding useful to further develop CASMOB project;
  • One to one meetings: we talked with our commercial and technical coaches (Antonio Montalvo and Fernando Lopez) to analyse our work in the Development phase and to plan the main activities for the next Deployment phase;
Thanks to suggestions gathered on those days we changed our value proposition - using a shorter and more focused and explicative one - and communication - updating our website and started a more frequent communication campaign on CASMOB Twitter and Facebook profiles.
